Thwaites Close – Affordable Private Double Room near Deakin and Epworth for 30+ Day Stays in Highton Thwaites Close is an affordable, social home base for stays of a month or more. It's in a well-known university estate in Highton, just a 10-minute walk from Deakin University's Waurn Ponds Campus and Epworth Hospital. It's ideal for Deakin students, nurses and healthcare professionals on contract at Epworth, visiting academics, and solo travellers who'd enjoy meeting others during a longer stay. The home has six private bedrooms, with shared bathrooms, kitchen, dining area, lounge and laundry. Your Room Your private room has a Double bed with fresh linen and towels, a bedside table and lamp, a study desk and chair, a built-in robe, a wall-mounted Smart TV, and its own split-system air conditioner. Your door has a digital lock. Soap and shampoo are supplied. Shared Spaces Guests share two bathrooms and a separate toilet. The main bathroom has a bath, shower and double vanity. The second bathroom has a shower, double vanity and toilet. The well-equipped kitchen opens into the dining area, which has its own split-system air conditioner. The shared lounge has a large TV and is a comfortable spot to relax or meet other guests. The internal laundry has a washer, and the dryer is just outside the laundry door, attached to the side of the house. Outside, there's an undercover patio with outdoor furniture. Free WiFi is available throughout. Cleaning on Longer Stays The common areas are cleaned regularly. For stays longer than a week, room cleaning and a linen change can be arranged on request for a small fee. Ubers and taxis are readily available.
