Toohey Street is a beautifully renovated three bedroom Queenslander offering a comfortable and character filled base for a long stay in Brisbane. The home has been thoughtfully modernised while keeping its classic charm, with high ceilings, ornate fretwork, polished timber floorboards, stained glass windows and timber VJ walls and ceilings throughout. The location is hard to beat for long term stays in Brisbane, sitting close to The Gabba, PA Hospital, Southbank, Stones Corner, Kangaroo Point and the University of Queensland at St Lucia, with Buranda shopping precinct and train station nearby and the Brisbane CBD less than five kilometres away. Guests have exclusive use of the upper level of the house, with no internal access to the downstairs residence. As the lower level is also lived in, we ask all guests to keep noise to a minimum and avoid using the back balcony after ten pm. Every bedroom is fitted with air conditioning and built in wardrobes, and a large unit over the dining area keeps the whole home comfortable year round. The bathroom includes a clawfoot bathtub and a separate walk in shower, stocked with shampoo, conditioner, body wash and a hairdryer. The living area features an oversized leather corner and chaise couch, a fifty inch flat screen television with Google Chromecast and Fetch TV, and unlimited 5G wifi. The back deck offers a second oversized corner couch, a peaceful outlook over the pool and birdlife, and space to dine alfresco. The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking at home, with a five burner gas cooktop, large electric oven, dishwasher, large fridge, microwave and a full range of cookware and utensils. Laundry facilities are located on the back deck, complete with a washing machine, dryer, washing powder, stain remover, fabric softener and a clothes airer.
