Barkly Street is a contemporary, light-filled apartment for stays of a month or more in vibrant Brunswick East, one of Melbourne's most popular inner-north neighbourhoods. Cafés, bakeries, parks and cycling trails are nearby, the Lygon Street and Nicholson Street dining precincts are close by, and trams on Nicholson Street connect you to the CBD and universities. With two Queen bedrooms, a private courtyard, a private laundry and impressive building facilities, it's ideal for professionals on extended contracts in Melbourne, visiting academics, couples or friends sharing a longer stay, and anyone relocating to the inner north.

The Apartment  
The spacious open-plan layout has warm timber floors throughout. The living area has a large five-seater sofa, a lounge chair, and a TV with streaming apps (log in with your own accounts), and opens onto a private courtyard with outdoor seating.

The sleek kitchen has an induction cooktop, an electric oven, a dishwasher, and cookware and utensils for everyday meals. The dining area seats five.

Both bedrooms are generously sized, with Queen beds, quality bedding, blackout blinds, and wardrobes with coat hangers. The central bathroom connects to the master bedroom and has a shower, vanity and toilet, with a hairdryer provided. The private laundry has a washer and dryer, which makes longer stays easy.

Split-system air conditioning provides heating and cooling in the living area, and WiFi is available. Professional hotel-style linen, with a three-sheet setup, is provided, and a small welcome pack helps you settle in.

Additional rules: You are staying in a friendly and peaceful neighbourhood and we kindly ask you to respect the community and your surrounding neighbours. The following strict House Rules apply:

\- No loud noise between 10 pm and 8 am  
\- No parties or antisocial behaviour  
\- No additional people are to access the property without our prior approval  
\- No pets are allowed in the property without approval  
\- No smoking is allowed at any times  
\- If you break something, please let us know  
\- To help protect all floor coverings, do not wear any shoes inside the property

Please be aware that excessive noise such as amplified music, vocals or screaming or anti-social behaviour in the property or common areas can cause neighbours to complain to us, the Building Manager, Council Rangers or Police.

IMPORTANT:  
\- Any breach of the House Rules may lead to a $500 fine plus compensation for any cost/damage created and immediate eviction of the property without refund.  
\- Pets are available on request unless the property states it is pet friendly. Any stays with pets will incur an additional cleaning fee of $200.

Finally, when checking out, we kindly ask you for the following:

\- Please leave all beds unmade  
\- Please clean up your dishes and put them away  
\- In case you have rearranged furniture, please put it back to the original location  
\- Please take out the rubbish and remember to use the right bins  
\- Please ensure all appliances, A/C and lights are off and doors and windows are closed.  
\- Please check your accommodation thoroughly before departing to avoid any unintentional items left behind.  
\- Please help us keep the property running smoothly by not disposing of food scraps, cooking oil, wipes, sanitary items, paper towels, or any other non-toilet-paper items down sinks, drains, or toilets. These items can cause blockages and plumbing issues. Thank you for helping us maintain a comfortable stay for all guests.

We are not liable for any items left behind after your stay. In the rare event that a guest reports a missing item, we will make every effort to locate it for you, but we cannot guarantee its retrieval. If the item is found, we will gladly assist in arranging its return to an address within Australia, subject to postage and service fees.

- Cancel **more than 15 days** before check-in — 50% refund of your Minimum Stay Fee.
- Cancel **less than 15 days** before check-in — no refund applies to the Minimum Stay Fee.
